ENTUR and Lexit Group have signed an agreement worth NOK 30 million
ENTUR – formerly a part of Norwegian transport group NSB – recently signed an agreement with Lexit Group worth NOK 30 million to rent equipment for ticket sales and checks on all trains in Norway.
Lexit Group is proud to be entrusted with delivering hand terminals and payment terminals for ticket sales and checks on all trains over the coming years. For Lexit Group, this means in practice an extension of the agreement that has already been running in recent years. The agreement is now being extended to include support for remote control and remote support of the hand terminals, starting in May.
The core products in the delivery are a new payment terminal from Verifone – the V400M, and a Google-recommended hand terminal from the manufacturer Point Mobile, PM45. Together with the programs and apps owned by Entur, these two products form a complete cash solution for ticket sales. The terminal can also be used for ticket checks and verifications of previously purchased tickets. The tickets can be paid for easily with all types of credit and debit cards, and soon also by way of Vipps (mobile payment method) for those who wish to use it.
The solution is unique in that there is no longer any need for a separate printer to print out tickets and full receipts – Verifone has provided printing directly in the payment terminal.
ENTUR collects information on travel routes, stops and other travel information from Norwegian train companies. All of the data is collected in a database with an open interface that is free and accessible to anyone who wants to build services based on these. Entur provides services to end users, making it easier to plan, buy and make journeys using public transport throughout the country. In addition, Entur manages the railway's ticket system, sales outlets in stations and customer centres for all of the train operators in Norway.
Lexit Group, with its headquarters in Kløfta a bit north of Oslo, is a wholly owned Norwegian company and total supplier with branch offices in Sweden and Denmark. One of our core businesses is the sale and service of hand terminals and tablets to professional clients throughout Scandinavia. The Group currently has 130 employees and annual sales of approximately NOK 400 million.
Verifone provides payment solutions and value-added services to the Nordic market. Verifone Norway AS is part of the global Verifone company, which has offices in more than 150 countries and over 26 million units worldwide.
